About Us
Set Free Christian Fellowship is a loving and welcoming community of believers, seeking to live out the transformative power of Jesus Christ through grace-filled worship and Biblical teaching. We hope to foster relationships focused on God and each other, as we equip followers to know, live, and share the good news of Jesus Christ.

Set Free Christian Fellowship focuses on reaching out to men and women on the sex offender registry, men and women who are on probation and parole, and the families of men and women that are incarcerated.
LOSTNESS
With an estimated 200 sex offenders and 800 ex-offenders, if not more, in Burke County, we need to reach these men and women with the Gospel. With a recidivism rate of 49% within two years of release in North Carolina, we know that the only way to reduce this rate is when individuals are transformed through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
GROWTH
Sadly, there are more and more people being arrested due to the drug epidemic. People steal to purchase drugs. People rob stores, families, and individuals for money to purchase drugs. Gangs fight and kill each other over territory to sell drugs. These are not only big city problems but small-town problems. Set Free Christian Fellowship will reach out to these areas with the Gospel.
FAMILIES
When a family member goes to prison, the family is also in prison. Set Free will reach out to the families that have family members incarcerated. We share the Gospel with them. Set Free will provide them a place to worship where they will not feel ashamed.
We want you to come and worship with us. We want you to join with us and let us serve you. On Sunday, September 10, come and be with us as we launch this exciting ministry. SECF will meet at Catawba River Baptist Association (CRBA), 1812 US 70 E in Morganton. At 9:30a, we will have a time of fellowship with pastries, donuts, and beverages provided by El Bethel Baptist Church. At 10:30a, our worship service will begin. After the service, Zion Baptist Church will lunch for us. I hope to see you there.
Events
It is an exciting time at Set Free Christian Fellowship. On Sunday, September 10, 2023, we will have our first service at Catawba River Baptist Association, 1812 US 70 E in Morganton. A dream will become a reality that day. We have been praying for a church like this for more than three (3) years. God is answering our prayers. Our Sunday School class will begin at 9:30a. El Bethel Baptist Church will provide us with pastries, donuts, coffee, tea, and soft drinks. We are wanting to meet everyone and fellowship with one another.Read More
